Not really. ( steve says after a moment, not really want to think about it. his parents aren't that observant; it's a fact. they have a lot happening, he understands, but sometimes -- often -- he feels a bit bitter that they're so wrapped up in other things of anything he does until it's a step out of the cookie cutter mold that being a harrington should have put him in.

so he shakes that thought away, focuses on eddie. )

Parents can suck and your uncle seems like a good guy. ( steve got the sense of that from nancy, honestly, and dustin. when eddie was hiding and wayne was so worried. he hasn't really spent time with him and he can't judge himself, but he's glad that eddie was with him if his own parents were pissed about water. steve was lucky. his parents, when around, weren't cruel.

he sits in front of eddie and lets him move his head, position him how he wants it. the touch is-- the touch isn't unexpected but steve finds he misses it the second eddie's fingers are off his skin. that's new, makes butterflies flutter through his stomach. huh.

then eddie's back with a sponge and steve's not really sure what he's doing. )
I can stay still. ( he says to say something, brain lagging behind. ) And hopefully it covers... You are a lot paler than I am. Kinda vampy. ( eddie's got that metalhead, pale and pasty thing going but not in a bad way. steve's lost some of his summer tan through the harsher months, yeah, but even pale he's got more of a tan to him. )
