eddie, it's a pipe dream, remember? you have to dream big. we'll go to la and i'll work as a waitress and make lots of tips and you'll play at a different bar every other night and one day there'll be a record producer in the crowd and he'll be so blown away by your talent that he'll sign you on the spot.

okay, yeah, my imagination is great for dnd but not so great when it comes to my own life and the buzzkill that is reality. i like this, though. pipe dream or not, it's nice to think about.

in order to keep up appearances, i do in fact have to insist that i am not.

dreams are important. i like that you dream so big, it's nice in contrast to my tendency to assume the worst is going to happen all day every day.
