[ steve spots eddie, the calling of his name doing the trick to gain attention. steve rolls his eyes, hands on his hips as he waits for eddie to walk up to him. never mind the fact that eddie looks good, all leather and denim and rips and tears. steve's lips purse, and he controls himself with a huff of sarcastic air. he looks from eddie to the small crowd he's leaving, them all watching. steve feels embarrassed suddenly, and as a few people lift their beers on the patio, steve nods before turning back to eddie and his walk and his rings. steve swallows as eddie pauses in front of him. ]
Yeah, I came. You're fucked up.

[Alec's tempted to chase down that little noise, to kiss Eddie until the little noises turn into bigger noises, but he doesn't want to stop Eddie from speaking. Wants to hear Eddie's words, wants to know what Eddie's going to say with both of Alec's hands in his. He squeezes lightly as Eddie says his name, the smile on his face growing wider.]
Eddie Munson. Yes. Absolutely yes, a thousand times yes.
[He shifts closer, leans in to kiss Eddie again. A diner sounds so much better than an anonymous bar, a place Eddie already likes feels somehow more intimate. Alec's got that flip flop feeling in his stomach again from excitement, and it sends a shiver down his spine.
Using their joined hands, he pulls Eddie's arms to his waist, leaning in for another kiss.]
Right now though I kinda want to make out with you. Like a lot.

[Away.
Alec needs to get away. It doesn't matter where. It doesn't matter how. It doesn't matter who or what he encounters. Nothing matters but the blood on his hands, the demon who possessed him, used him, committed violence as him, and left him in the aftermath. It doesn't matter that he wasn't in control of his body. They're still his hands that took Jocelyn's life; it's still his fault.
And the idea that people understand and that no one blames him is so reprehensible that Alec just can't stay in the Institute. He leaves, just like that: no bow, no jacket, just walks into the night. Who's going to stop him?
Who's even going to notice he's gone?
One Mundane noticing him, therefore, ranks pretty low on his radar. It shouldn't; it should have set off alarm bells in his head. But Alec barely notices the pavement beneath his feet, let alone the guy whose shoulder he bumps.
What he does notice, finally, is the words tossed back at him. Alec looks over his shoulder, confusion and heartache lining his face, and happens to lock eyes with the Mundane. Who's staring right at him, when he shouldn't be.
Alec opens his mouth but what can he say? Nothing useful.]

one time? a day?

[ alright, so steve's laughing. there's just something about eddie texting in all caps - the screaming he imagines in his head is worth it. ]
yes, it's clearly the phone.
i'll try it. i'm tempted to hate it so i can make out with you.
also, bring the phone. i'll fix it.

[ roy isn't on the compound today. the low afternoon sun reaches far and wide on the land, gator walking one of the many german shepherds on the premises. he can hear tires before they screech to a hault, and that catches his attention. his head snaps up, tilted a bit, one eye closed against the sun. he spots eddie, then raises his hand, watching as deputies begin to stride over. they stop on gator's command, and he waves them back to what they were doing. his jaw sets, and he knows for damn sure that there's something wrong. eddie just wouldn't show up at the compound like this.
walking over with the dog, gator steps up to eddie, looking him in the eye. he's angry, but he's more worried about what could possibly be happening to cause this. his lips purse, but he watches eddie's expression. that causes his heart to jump into his throat. his lips part, but his words are low, a whisper: ]
What the fuck's wrong with you? What happened?

Hell yeah.
[And as a bonus, and because Jane has no shame, he gets another shot of her wearing the shirt, lounging on her bed with a bit more emphasis on her thighs and the swell of her slender hip]
I fuckin' make this look good.
He didn't scratch ya up too much though, I hope. He's usually pretty chill, just sometimes plays a little rough.

i won't moan like chewbacca. what a loss.

[ stark county has another name: tillman country. the tillmans have been lawmen since stark county was founded — sheriffs, deputies. the star has hung on each one of their chests, a gleaming reminder of someone not to be fucked with. they reign from one corner to the other — the tillman ranch smack in the middle. the land is tilled under their boots — each one born to greatness. gator believes this. he thinks that his reign will begin once roy retires — but it isn't that simple. nothing ever is.
he's seen this eddie munson around. long hair, van, ordinary trash that seems to love to settle in tillman country. gator has pulled him over for speeding — careening around corners, blowing stop signs — his boots hit the ground hard as he steps out of the patrol suv and heads toward the driver's side door.
my apologies... deputy.
gator stares down at him, jaw set, and he's the picture of home-grown authority. ball cap pulled over his eyes, bulletproof vest across his chest, gun on his thigh. he's what deputies should be made of — toughness, grit, an overabundance of threats. he tilts his head, watching eddie's eyes. there's something about them, the way they shine, deep and dark and oddly warm. gator's lip curls upward, and he leans on the window curve of the van. ]
You wanna fuckin' tell me why you were goin' that fast? Let's see your license.

[ Billy's really not good at this playing-hard-to-get thing. Maybe he likes Eddie more than he realizes. ]
uh huh. long as you don't leave marks, i'm down for whatever sicko shit you want.
