[ And it wasn't like there was much for Eddie to do to wrap anything up that he was doing on his end. As a new arrival, there was only so much to do around here, and Eddie was still trying to figure out where he fit into this whole weird business.
But making friends is nice, even under these circumstances. So when Dean contacted him, of course Eddie was ready to drop everything and visit.
He can't help but wonder what's so fragile that requires Eddie to come to him, and his imagination has been running through a plethora of different possibilities before settling on the let's just wait until we get there or you'll walk right past the location and somehow get lost. He's pretty sure he's found the right house, though, and pockets his phone before knocking on the door. ]

Something. Either way, making connections and friends seems to be the thing to do, at least - networking, looking out for one another.
When the knock comes, he opens the door with a nervous grin, pushing it wide so Eddie can come inside. ]

Cool. [ Whiskey is Dean's go to when chatting up someone new; it's one of those really bad coping mechanisms people have, a crutch that lets him relax, even if its only for a while.
He grabs two glasses and the bottle from the side table in his small living room and pours two glasses, a solid four fingers each. Go big or go home. ]

Usually Eddie would be indulging in a little weed, so he understands coping mechanisms galore. Alas that his little metal lunchbox, and his supplier, are both back in Hawkins. ]
